Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance of apartment properties or areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community, under the direction of the Property Manager and Property Director.

Responsibilities

+ Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.

+ Manage the make ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Property Manager.

+ Operate within established expense limits.

+ Schedule and complete the Preventative Maintenance Program.

+ Coordinate special projects as directed by the Property Manager.

+ Monitor and maintain all building systems as designed.

+ Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.

+ Perform essential duties including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, and basic HVAC repairs.

+ Repair and treat structures such as showers, appliances, doors, cabinets, drywall, building exteriors, windows, and fences.

+ Facilitate apartment unit turnovers for occupancy.

+ Implement various flooring solutions from subfloors to finished products.

+ Conduct occasional cleanouts of furniture, garbage, and debris from vacant units.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

+ 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training.

+ Valid driver’s license.

+ Skills in carpentry, basic electrical and light plumbing, masonry painting, and basic HVAC repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to exert 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 30-50 lbs. of force frequently.

+ Professionalism in approaching others tactfully and reacting well under pressure.

+ Dependability in keeping commitments and completing tasks on time.

Work Environment

Exposure to outside weather conditions within a community. The role requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 30 to 50 pounds of force frequently. Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as directed, including carrying a cell phone for on-call maintenance. Expected to work no less than 40 hours per week.

This is a Permanent position based out of North Versailles, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
