    Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

     

    This role involves providing technical solutions in the engineering of custom injection molding processes, secondary operations, assemblies, and auxiliary processes. The position requires managing and coordinating engineering projects within budget and timelines, leading cross-functional teams from project inception to completion, and acting as the primary customer contact for new development projects.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver timely quotations for new projects and engineering changes for existing jobs.

    + Identify and manage scope changes within projects in development.

    + Present new project releases to internal teams and management.

    + Prepare and manage project timelines and budgets using MS Project software based on accepted proposals.

    + Collaborate in a team environment requiring cross-functional support in areas such as Manufacturing, Process, Automation, and Quality.

    + Analyze project success, profitability, and report on results.

    + Provide leadership in project management activities following new product introduction SOP.

    + Review products for design for manufacturability (DFM), compliance with good manufacturing practices, molding principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements.

    + Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.

    + Control expenditures within project budget limitations.

    + Prepare weekly project reports for customers using MS Project software.

    + Coordinate and lead meetings with customers and suppliers.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant field.

    + Experience in an ISO 9001, ISO, and FDA certified environment is desired.

    + Strong project management skills with an emphasis on tooling and molding of injection molded products.

    + Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and the injection molding industry.

    + Proficiency in 3D CAD software is desired.

    + Excellent time management and task prioritization skills for handling multiple projects.

    + Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively in a cross-functional team.

    + Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with leadership capabilities.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Exposure to medical device and project engineering roles is beneficial.

    Work Environment

    The role is full-time and involves moderate physical activity, including sitting for up to 60% of the shift, standing, and walking. The work is primarily conducted indoors in a temperature-controlled environment, with moderate noise from manufacturing floor machinery. There is minimal exposure to fumes from plastic injection molding. Safety glasses are mandatory in manufacturing environments, and the company provides an eye protection reimbursement policy. Earplugs are available as part of a hearing conservation program. Clean room attire, including hair nets, beard covers, gowns, and shoe covers, is required in specified manufacturing environments. Gloves and bio-masks are also required in certain areas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

    Every employee is eligable for quarterly bonuses depending on how the complany performs.Vacation expectation is 80-120 hours depending on experience40 personal hours8 holidays
