    Position Summary:

    The Guest Service Ambassador will be responsible for providing friendly, efficient, “Unsurpassed Service” to our internal and external guests. Main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to; paying jackpots, cashing tickets, minor machine repair, write, run and pay Keno tickets, currency exchange, and GLC Reward Card signups. Properly implements all Title 31 procedures. Observe and safeguard the assets of the company. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “Unsurpassed Service” standards at all times.

    + Responsible for the generation and sales of computerized Keno tickets to guests who have provided written documentation of numbers desired.

    + Follow all Responsible Gaming Guidelines. For example, self-limiting requests and checking identification for individuals who appear under 30 years old.

    + Follow all procedures and policies to ensure that duties are performed within accepted standards established by Casino Management and Regulatory requirements.

    + Responsible for the collection of accurate cash from Keno ticket sales and control of cash bank(s) assigned. Provide accurate cash payout to winning Keno ticket holders. Pick up and return tickets from guests in Restaurants and Bars as required. Ensure receipt and recording of all cash transactions.

    + Comply with signatory controls, check-in / out sheet, key control, and other forms associated with daily duties.

    + Capable of counting down, checking in / out, and maintaining accountability of a slot booth or bank to include being responsible for the final balancing of funds and assets assigned during a shift.

    + Effectively and efficiently complete transactions for guests while maintaining Title 31 requirements.

    + Handle guest opportunities in a positive professional manner.

    + Inform Shift Management of any illegal gaming devices or activity.

    + Have a keen awareness of the surrounding in the casino while helping to maintain the cleanliness of the building.

    + Report equipment malfunctions to Slot leadership.

    + Work with management on Guest needs that may require special accommodations.

    + Understand and be aware of the GLC Rewards Program to sign guests up and champion the benefits of the program.

    + Keep all Keno racks fully supplied.

    + Keep work areas and casino floor neat, clean and safe.

    + Ability to have clear, friendly, and positive communication with internal and external guests.

    + Be aware of and updated on all upcoming events and promotions.

    + Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Essential Qualifications:

    + Must be at least 21 years of age and have the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate license issued by Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission.

    + High School diploma or GED required.

    + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal forms.

    + Maintain positive and effective working relationships with team members and guests.

    + Manual dexterity to work with a computer keyboard, machine locks, and small tools to repair minor machine malfunctions.

    + Ability to effectively utilize electronic equipment, devices, and computer software programs.

    + Thorough understanding of Title 31 requirements, including but not limited to, all unacceptable currency transactions, logging requirements, MTLs, and CTRs.

    + Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    + Understand and practice service standards and core values.

    + Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

    + Ability to bend, kneel, reach and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.

    + Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

    + Ability to hear radio transmissions and communicate clearly on the radio using an earpiece.

    + Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment such as a computer keyboard, currency counter, calculator, telephone, handheld radio, machine locks, and small tools.

    + Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.

    Work Conditions:

    Work is typically in an area that may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
