Ground Support Equipment Mechanic. Support aviation maintenance operations by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE). To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!
Responsibilities
+ This mechanic performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGSE.
+ Inspects, tests, and operates AGSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
+ Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid.
+ Diagnoses mechanical and electronic malfunctions using visual methods, test equipment, and technical publications.
+ Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls AGSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications.
+ Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
+ Tracks scheduled maintenance in customer software programs and completes all forms and records IAW service guidance and site policies and procedures.
Qualifications
+ Must be a U.S. citizen.
+ Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
+ Must have previous automotive/truck/AGSE/aviation maintenance experience.
+ Must have own tools and toolbox.
+ Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate ground support equipment and operate a vehicle on the flight line.
+ Will be required to be on a respirator program and pass a respirator/hexavalent chromium physical.
+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
