    The Office of Information Technology encourages applications for a **Senior Executive Aide!** This position supports the work and activities of the Vice Chancellor for IT, the Associate Vice Chancellor for IT and the OIT Cabinet, which comprises eight executive staff responsible for campus-wide IT efforts. This is a senior role, with responsibility for enhancing the capability and effectiveness of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) via strategic alignment and implementation support for key organizational projects and initiatives.The Senior Executive Aide joins the OIT leadership team. The individual in this role will possess high-level management skills along with strategic insight and a proven track record to lead the implementation and prioritization of organizational initiatives. The individual in this role must exercise judgment and independent initiative in dealing with issues, especially those which require discretion and confidentiality and an urgency to appropriately prioritize problem-solving tasks to resolve barriers.This position provides executive level support along with coordinating shared governance functions between the Office of the VC for IT and the University.     What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

    _Strategic Advising:_

    + Operate as a thought partner to the VC for IT and OIT cabinet.

    + Serve as a liaison between OIT and campus partners on matters of campus-wide concern.

    + Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with OIT leadership and staff to ensure opportunities are identified and initiatives are successfully performed.

    + Ensure OIT is focused on activities aligned with its strategic priorities and campus mission, vision and values.

    + Act as a knowledgeable and trusted intermediary.

    + Recommends and maintains leadership meeting agendas and priorities, supervises key topics and progress on decision-making and implementation.

    + Maintains a decision log for OIT Cabinet and OST. Maintains an open-issue log from OIT Cabinet meetings and provides reminders to Cabinet to complete, close, or evolve open-issues.

    + In coordination with the VC for IT and OIT Cabinet, continually explore and assess the evolution of the organization.

    + Align and advise the VC for IT and direct reports of day-to-day operational and strategic issues.

    _Strategic Planning and Execution:_

    + Direct and support implementation of central initiatives and special projects as prioritized and identified by OIT Cabinet; ensure alignment with campus mission, vision and values; identify metrics for success and drive progress toward those metrics.

    + Plan for and coordinate specific cadence of initiatives, including an understanding of and adaptation to degrees of complexity and impact to the campus community.

    + Understand key touch points between campus initiatives and highlight areas where there are/might be conflicting or complementary activities, as well as opportunities for communication.

    + Lead and/or participate on campus task forces and committees; perform representational functions on strategically important initiatives.

    + Develop and maintain strategic partnerships.

    + Track, supervise and ensure effective follow-through on all action items related to critical initiatives and projects and with regard to metrics.

    _Executive level support to the VC for IT and Associate VC for IT:_

    + Proactively manage and coordinate both the VC for IT and AVC for IT calendars daily, allowing for appropriate pre-meeting working and post-meeting follow up.

    + Develop a detailed understanding and knowledge of what both positions do, including priorities, initiatives, projects, and relationships.

    + Research meeting topics, partnering with other members of the OIT Cabinet to gather pertinent information, create briefings and materials, including talking points to ensure the VC for IT and AVC for IT are prepared to substantially engage with partners.

    + Drafts executive level communications on behalf of the VC for IT and AVC for IT and others, in partnership with the OIT communications team, and distributes approved communications as appropriate.

    + Manage travel arrangements for the VC for IT and AVC for IT and other OIT cabinet members as needed.

    + Manage financial resources related to OIT Cabinet travel, meetings and official functions, applying a solid understanding of university and campus policies and procedures.

    + Provide executive assistance as vital for the seven IT Governance committees as advised by the VC for IT or AVC for IT.

    + Coordinate meetings, notes and documentation for both Cabinet and the Operational Steering Team (OST).

    + This position is in a hybrid work environment, working a mix of days on campus and remotely each week.

    What We Can Offer

    + Salary: $97,716 - $105,000.

    What We Require

    + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience from an accredited institution. A combination of education and proven experience as described below may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.

    + Five years of experience in executive support roles of dynamically increasing responsibility in a sophisticated organization.

    + Proficiency with MS Office (especially Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook, Teams).

    + Ability to work successfully with all levels of personnel, and internal and external customers.

    + Direct knowledge and experience with university processes and departments.

    + Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Teams,

    + PowerPoint, Excel.

    + Proficient in assisting with Zoom and/or Teams virtual meetings.
