We are currently hiring a Senior Architect who will be a key member within the GA-EMS Radar Technologies group. In this capacity, the architect will lead the architecture development, system design and software development of a high-performance digital beamforming solution for new radar technologies. The Senior Architect will report to the Manager of Systems Engineering within the Radar Technologies group.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
+ Architect a high throughput, low latency performance architecture to enable real time signal and data processing of large data streams
+ Collaborate with the Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering teams to drive product development
+ Lead analyses and trade studies including, but not limited to, bandwidth analysis, compute timelines, data rates, processing units (CPU, GPU, FPGA, hybrid), and cost
+ Collaborate with algorithm developers to identify opportunities to parallelize and optimize algorithm design and implementation to achieve throughput and latency objectives
+ Develop software for initial prototype in support of benchmarking and system performance evaluation, mature software in support of higher-level radar integration activities
+ Conduct system performance testing and make design updates and fixes as needed to meet requirements including system reliability
+ Represent the company at technical reviews, meetings and formal design reviews

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in computer science, information systems or related discipline and progressive software development experience as follows; eighteen or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, sixteen or more years of experience with a masters degree, or thirteen or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
+ Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership
+ Ability to lead cross-discipline teams in performing all required system designs, trades, and analyses
+ Proven experience designing high throughput, low latency signal and data processing architectures
+ Experience with development of signal and data processing software on hybrid CPU/GPU/FPG architecture
+ Demonstrates a hands-on approach with hardware from initial setup through troubleshooting and final integration and test
+ Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout a fast-paced, R&D environment
+ Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals
+ Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required
+ DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Prior experience designing high performance solutions for digital beamforming radars
+ Prior development experience with CPU, GPU, and FPGA based architectures
+ Familiarity with high performance solutions from manufacturers such as Nvidia, AMD/Xilinx and Intel
+ Familiarity with high bandwidth, low latency networks such as InfiniBand and RoCE
+ Familiarity with high performance data storage solutions
+ Experienced in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
+ Previous experience working with the Department of Defense
+ Active security clearance
