    Information Technology (IT) Intern Job Summary

     

    We are looking for a motivated and security-conscious Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. The IT Intern will support our in-house IT department in providing technical assistance, configuring PCs and mobile devices, and maintaining shared systems. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of policies and procedures, and provide information and support to team members.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    + Provide technical assistance to personnel regarding hardware and software-related issues

    + Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, mobile devices, hardware, and software

    + Follow and communicate established procedures and processes for computer maintenance

    + Provide training and support to team members on the use of computer systems and software

    + Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues

    + Research and recommend solutions for technical problems

    + Document procedures and solutions to maintain accurate records

    Requirements and Qualifications

    + Undertaking higher education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

    + Strong communication and customer service skills

    + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

    + Knowledge of computer systems and software

    + Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology

    + Familiarity with hardware and software installation

    + Able to work independently and as part of a team

    Bonus Points

    + Knowledge of network and system security concepts

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Windows/Server operating systems

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 products

    + Familiarity with Virtual Machines

    + Familiarity with SQL Server
