Responsibilities

The Regional Vice President of Operations provides leadership in developing and executing a focused effort in managing safety, quality, operations, improving operational effectiveness and profitability, as well as implementing and managing division goals within the Containers region in Consumer Packaging North America.

This role has the ability to sit onsite in Evansville, IN, hybrid within an Amcor location, or be home office as there will be additional travel requirements listed below.

+ Provide leadership in the implementation of all Corporate and Division EH&S initiatives, programs and procedures.  Promote an injury-free workplace culture as well as an environmentally sustainable company.

+ Provide leadership to Multi-site Directors and Plant Directors in meeting Safety, Sales & EBITDA targets

+ Facilitate in developing, implementing and executing the annual operating plan for the region

+ Drive continuous improvements projects within the region that will improve safety, lower cost, increase operational effectiveness and quality, sharing as best practices

+ Support financial decisions on new projects, customer related programs and direct production of products which are consistent with the divisional expectations.

+ Lead the development and implementation of capital investment projects to improve safety, quality, capacity and conversion cost.

+ Monitor and track equipment utilization to ensure appropriate levels of production capacity are available to supply our customers

+ Review and direct teams to meet key operating metrics for each facility within the region.

+ Ensure plants have adequate human resources, both in target required and talent level necessary to meet regional goals.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field

+ 7+ years Operations/Operational Excellence experience

+ 10 years management experience with proven track record of successful leadership in a manufacturing organization including the formulation and delivery of business strategies, policies and objectives

+ Previous P&L responsibility

+ Experience in building and developing operations organization, processes and procedures to support strategic direction

+ Must establish operations initiatives for improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee relations

+ Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others

+ Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1–2-year time span

+ Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

+ Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level

+ Travel – minimum 50% throughout plants within region as well as the Corporate office in Evansville, IN.
