Position Overview

Prepare soil and growth media, cultivate, and participate in horticultural activities under supervision on acreage, in nursery, or in an environmentally controlled structure such as a greenhouse or shed by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

+ Grow your green career with us!

+ Enhance the appearance and value of properties through the cultivation of shrubs and trees.

+ Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees.

+ Perform proper pruning to prevent girdling roots and promote a central leader on trees.

+ Transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs.

+ Prepare trees for pickup through the process of balling and burlapping.

+ Load and unload materials, containerized shrubs, plants, and trees.

+ Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems.

+ Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

+ Love of the outdoors

+ Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books

+ Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course up
