Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Content Management Analyst to support the ATX E-file team in developing and delivering electronic filing functionality across our tax software platforms. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on clear communication, timely execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will act as a bridge between state tax agencies, developers, and internal teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely implementation of e-file specifications for our line of preparer-centric tax software.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Serve as a liaison** between state tax agencies, developers, QA teams, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely and accurate development and delivery of e-file content and functionality.
+ **Act as a product owner** for assigned e-file products by gathering and documenting agency requirements and acceptance criteria, working with developers to accurately and efficiently process yearly updates, and performing acceptance testing with state and federal agencies.
+ **Lead communications with state agencies** to request specifications, clarify requirements, track approval timelines, and resolve issues related to tax form e-filing.
+ **Create and manage project timelines** , ensuring deliverables are on track and aligned with seasonal milestones. Proactively raise concerns and propose adjustments when risks to timelines are identified.
+ **Collaborate with cross-functional teams** (development, QA, compliance, and support) to define scope, identify dependencies, and drive timely execution of project goals.
+ **Ensure timely, clear, and accurate communication** regarding project status, risks, changes, and upcoming deadlines to team leads, supervisors, and executive stakeholders.
+ **Oversee the lifecycle of assigned products** , including requirement intake, spec documentation, form mapping, e-file table setup, testing coordination, and production readiness.
+ **Support government approval efforts** by preparing test submissions, managing acknowledgments, and following through on agency feedback to achieve approval before release deadlines.
+ **Monitor e-file transmission errors and rejection rates** , collaborate with developers and QA to investigate root causes, and implement enhancements to improve accuracy and customer experience.
+ **Maintain internal tracking tools and documentation** , ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment across multiple jurisdictions and teams.
+ **Drive process improvements** and propose scalable solutions to recurring communication, documentation, or workflow inefficiencies.
+ **Champion user experience and product quality** , ensuring the implemented e-file solutions meet both regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
+ Project Management – Agile (preferred)
+ Foundational knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax forms and filing processes (prior tax experience preferred but not required).
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and non-technical information.
+ Demonstrated strong ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities effectively.
+ Proficiency with computer, office software, and the ability to learn multiple tax software platforms quickly.
+ Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze documents and flag inconsistencies or concerns.
+ Experience with e-file schema, validation rules, or XML highly beneficial (not required).
+ Familiarity with project tracking or collaboration tools such as Asana, JIRA, or similar platforms is a plus.
