Description of Job
The purpose of this position is to manage the operation, production and projects of the warehouse unit. This position also supervises 3 full-time employees and up to 2 temporary employees.
This position will be responsible for assisting with the management and maintenance of the building and grounds to include the interior, exterior, and occasional snow removal.
This position will serve as project manager for fulfillment, delivery, and document destruction projects for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, this position will have complete oversight of all building janitorial services.
A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Warehouse and Janitorial Supervisor
+ The employee is responsible for supervising the daily operations and the production levels of the warehouse team by effectively working with state and temporary employees.
+ Additionally, the employee will supervise and direct the building janitorial services.
+ The employee will train all full-time employees in the unit as needed and any new employees.
+ The employee will work with staff to formulate performance plans and meet periodically for evaluations. They will have regular 1:1’s with their employees, discuss, and document the positives and negatives as they arise for use during evaluation periods.
+ The employee will work with management and HR as needed.
+ The employee will provide support to other units and serve as acting supervisor when necessary.
+ Occasionally, the employee will be responsible for all process improvement projects that affect the unit.
Inventory Control, Purchasing and Destruction
+ The employee is responsible for oversight of the physical inventory of goods, making sure it is kept up to date, and ordering supplies as needed for all areas of the building.
+ The employee will adhere to all procurement-purchasing rules and seek direction from management as needed for authorizations.
+ This employee will manage all destruction projects for various customers and ensure that all rules and regulations are followed.
+ The employee will work with customers and vendors on a regular basis and maintain exceptional customer service.
Delivery/Fulfillment Management
+ The employee is responsible for the management of all delivery and fulfillment projects.
+ The employee will be responsible for developing proposals, project requirements, and ensure that all deadlines are met or exceeded.
+ The employee will be the primary contact for customers and will be required to maintain exemplary customer service.
+ As needed the employee will work with management, the Denver office, and/or customers to coordinate the pickup and delivery for various business needs.
Building and Grounds Maintenance
+ The employee will be responsible for assisting with building and grounds maintenance as needed.
+ The employee will manage the janitorial staff to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met throughout the building.
Monthly Billing/Record Keeping
+ The employee is responsible for updating the P&L report for the unit to accurately reflect on all unit operations.
+ The employee will record time worked on all projects for billing and attendance purposes and ensure that staff correctly logs their time for accurate reporting.
+ The employee will be responsible for managing project budgets and making sure expenses do not exceed set limits.
Professional Development
+ In addition to supervising and managing the unit, the employee will be responsible for continuing professional development through courses, webinars, training, conferences, etc.
+ The employee will be responsible for setting professional development goals and a course of action for completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
At least five (5) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to five (5) years
The exceptional candidate will possess the proven ability or accomplishment in the following preferred qualifications:
+ Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position
+ At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
+ At least three (3) years of experience in building operations
+ Experience operating forklifts
+ Experience in inventory management
+ At least one (1) year in project management
Conditions of Employment:
+ A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
Comparative Analysis Process
The comparative analysis process for this position may consist of a structured application review, an online assessment and a structured interview.
