    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Inside Product Support Sales Rep will contact Ohio CAT customers primarily by telephone in an established geographic territory, to increase parts and service sales and to build consultative relationships with those customers to help improve overall sales to users, market share, and enhance the Customer Experience with Ohio CAT. The standard will be to contact those customers at least four times a year, but customers with more potential will be contacted more often. The Inside Sales Rep will be assigned to and manage an account base established by the manager, customers included in any market segment served by the Heavy Equipment and Industrial Engine Divisions. In addition to making outgoing sales calls to customers, the Inside Sales Rep will also receive inbound calls from customers as relationships are built and will be the primary point-of-contact for the customer, and a conduit for all information relevant to dealer parts, maintenance supplies, and services. Other job duties include preparing and presenting quotes for parts and estimates for equipment repairs, visual inspections of equipment, and promoting sales campaigns and all aspects of the dealer’s offerings. There is the potential for some travel to/from customer sites, if necessary, but most of the time spent by the Inside Sales Rep will be in an office setting at the Richwood, Ohio location.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High School Diploma/GED.

    + Prior industry knowledge of the products and a technical background of the products sold and serviced.

    + Telephone sales experience is desired.

    + Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Software is desired.

    COMPETENCIES:

    + An initiative-taking individual who can work independently and collaborate with a team.

    + Ability to manage multiple tasks and good organizational skills.

    + Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment.

    + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

    + Strong customer service skills and ability to exceed customer expectations.

    + Advanced computer skills and the ability to operate in CAT information retrieval systems and Microsoft Office Applications.

    + Must have a strong sales orientation and mechanical aptitude.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
