Overview

Intelligent Waves (IW) is seeking a **Products Engineer** to join our products division. As a pivotal role within the organization, the products engineer will work within a fast-paced, high-performing agile team to oversee the implementation of IW’s products into customer environments and contribute to various initiatives that drive innovation and excellence within IW’s product offerings. This includes but is not limited to the development of minimum viable products and participation in ideation sessions. The Products Engineer will report directly to the Senior Solutions Architect and requires a strong background in networking and systems engineering, cloud development, and a proven track record of delivering results in a multi-product environment.

**Location** : This position is 100% remote with travel.

**Travel** : Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and will be reimbursed based on IW policy, GSA Per Diem rates and DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) as required.

**Security Clearance** : Candidates must be a United State citizen and have the ability to obtain & maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with the DoD to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

+ Design and implement networking infrastructures (both on premise and in the cloud) in support of complex, geographically dispersed Information Technology (IT) systems.

+ Assist with the planning, development, and execution of product strategies and roadmaps.

+ Conduct continuous monitoring and analysis of mission-critical networks and servers to uphold optimal performance standards and SLAs.

+ Implement the deployment of networks, applications, and services across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP) to ensure scalability, performance, and resource utilization across enterprise environments.

+ Utilize CI/CD tools including (but not limited to) Terraform and Ansible to automate and streamline the deployment of complex system configurations, enabling efficient and error-free delivery of customer environments.

+ Build and maintain relevant technical documentation ensuring that clear, concise, and accurate information is readily available to assist with deployment, sustainment, and incident resolution.

+ Assist in network, operations, and maintenance troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly, providing off-duty on-call support as needed.

+ Successfully execute projects, on-budget and on-schedule.

+ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure IW’s products maintain competitive advantages.

+ Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including (but not limited to) IW’s customers and partners.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and configuration within major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP).

+ Experience working with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate complex configurations and/or deployments.

+ Hands-On experience with Juniper networking products.

+ Hands-On experience with networking products (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) from varying vendor technologies (Cisco, Dell, Palo Alto, etc.).

+ Experience with deployment and configuration of KG-175 and/or KG-255 encryption equipment.

+ Deep understanding of the Linux (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) operating system.

+ Deep understanding of the Windows server operating system and associated server roles.

+ Minimum five (5) years of IT Network/Systems Engineering experience.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify innovative solutions.

+ Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

+ Experience with the design, configuration, and implementation of CSfC solutions and the associated criteria for CSfC compliance.

+ Foundational understanding of the DoD procurement processes and schedules.

+ Enterprise Routing and Switching, Specialist (JNCIS-ENT) or similar certification.

+ Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar certification

+ DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)

+ Work experience in a technical field utilizing skills and knowledge required in this position will be considered commensurate with formal education. In lieu of practical work history and experience, a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline will be considered.

Location & Travel

The Products Engineer position can be based anywhere in the continental US and will require remote/telework and travel to customer sites. Travel is expected to be at most 30% or one working week a month. Travel will be reimbursed based on GSA Per Diem rates and DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

Security Clearance

The Products Engineer must be a United States Citizen and **hold or be eligible for a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI** .
