**Harborview Medical Center** is currently recruiting for a **RESPIRATORY CARE UNIT COORDINATOR** to join our Respiratory Care Team!
WORK SCHEDULE
+ 40 hours per week
+ Day Shift **JOB SUMMARY** The Unit Coordinator serves as the frontline administrative support for the Respiratory Care Department at Harborview Medical Center. This role plays a vital part in coordinating day-to-day departmental operations, serving as the primary point of contact for staff, vendors, interviewees, and visitors. The Program Coordinator ensures smooth administrative workflows, supports onboarding and compliance processes, and facilitates communication between clinical and administrative teams. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Serve as the first point of contact for all vendors, interviewees, and visitors arriving to the department. Verify appointments and direct individuals to the appropriate personnel, including the Department Manager or Clinical Specialist.
+ Respond to staff inquiries related to payroll, educational reimbursement, badge access, and timekeeping.
+ Coordinate onboarding paperwork for new hires, including personnel file preparation, license verification, HIPAA forms, job description acknowledgments, and NetID/UW Medicine access setup.
+ Order and maintain inventory of break room supplies (e.g., paper goods, utensils, coffee filters), and submit maintenance requests for equipment such as printers, phones, scanners, and laptops.
+ Schedule all staff, lead, and MDM (multi-disciplinary) meetings, and coordinate interviews for Respiratory Care Practitioner interns and staff.
+ Print, update, and laminate clinical signage and badge reference cards; ensure staff have up-to-date documents, forms, and evaluation materials.
+ Retrieve and return broken department phones and pagers, and coordinate necessary repairs to ensure clinical tools remain operational.
+ Prepare and maintain accurate personnel files; ensure all documentation is organized and compliant with departmental standards.
+ Manage billing-related documentation and processing for department services and equipment; ensure timely submission and tracking of invoices and reimbursements. **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in administrative or healthcare support role, or similar program specialty.OREquivalent education/experience. **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma center, Harborview Medical Center is well known for innovations and excellence in trauma care and its centers of emphasis: Trauma, Burn, Neurosciences, AIDS/STD CARER, and mentally and medically vulnerable populations.
