Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will repair and replace worn air turning vanes and chain and pneumatic driven gates. You will perform maintenance and repair to boilers and all steam generation equipment and auxiliary units such as air heaters, deaerators, and oil heaters. You will install and repair complete steam, water, fuel, condensate and blowdown systems. You will perform maintenance and repair on pulverizers, coal and ash conveying systems. You will install, troubleshoot, repair and replace automatic fuel burning and boiler controls. You will perform maintenance and repairs on electrostatic precipitators and other pollution abatement equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements listed here: Maintenance and repairs to boilers, steam generation equipment, auxiliary units, electrostatic precipitators, and other pollution abatement equipment using chiseling tools, cutting torch, electric welder air hammers, motors, and beading tools.
