Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as the primary base Photographer and Videographer, providing photography and videography services to support base needs. You will effectively utilize a variety of equipment and software applications required for media production, photography, and videography. You will ensure appropriate maintenance and upkeep of equipment, tools, and space utilized in performing duties. You will assist Planner in the development of service of annual budget and business plan, by identifying media support needs. You will design and create detailed logos and illustrations from original art, existing templates, clip art or a combination of images. You will perform editing, cataloging, and uploading of photographic and video graphic images. You will support base's website and social media, operating the Official Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, ensuring compliance with the Department of Defense, Navy, Marin Corps standards, regulations, orders and instructions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with a variety of art media and computer graphics software and a variety of commercial and graphic art techniques including sign making and framing and laminating photographic and graphic products. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In addition to qualifying for this position through specialized experience, applicants can also qualify for this position through education substitution. To qualify via education substitution applicant must possess: GS-07: One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement Additional Information The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions.
