**Schedule** : 07-1930 Monday thru Fridays as needed

A Brief Overview
Prescribes, delegates and coordinates professional nursing care to pediatric patients through the use of nursing process and in accordance with hospital policy/procedure. Meets job specific standards. Demonstrates competency in identified skills for area.
Essential Functions
+ Conducts holistic age-specific patient/family assessments upon admission according to defined standards. Ongoing patient/family assessments/reassessments are completed according to the appropriate CPG or protocols and unit standard of care.
+ Identifies nursing diagnoses, collaborative problems, and/or protocols for each patient, based on assessment, at the time of admission. Revises plan of care based on patient condition and interdisciplinary input
+ Develops individualized patient/family plans of care using CPG’s or protocols to meet physical, psychosocial, developmental and educational needs. Revises plan of care based on patient condition and in collaboration with appropriate disciplines
+ Implements nursing actions in accordance with the patient/family plan of care and patient condition/needs.
+ Evaluates nursing actions to include patient/parent response and progression toward goal/ outcome, revising as necessary
+ Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
+ Perform physical requirements as described in the Physical Requirements section
Education Qualifications
+ Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing Required or
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of nursing Required
Experience Qualifications
+ Minimum 1 year experience, preferably in pediatrics Required and
+ Previous experience with EPIC Preferred
Skills and Abilities
+ Other certifications/education as defined by area specific job competencies
Licenses and Certifications
+ RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of Nebraska Required and
+ BCLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association Required
