A Typical Day

The Senior Vice President Loan Accounting and Technology will manage a small team of business analysts responsible for data integration and governance in support of finance applications and reporting requirements. The role requires the ability to leverage knowledge of financial and mortgage systems for purposes of maintaining critical data flows, with focus on data integrity and accessibility. Supported applications including ancillary general ledger processes, treasury operations, mortgage originations and servicing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial processes, SOX governance principles, and reporting solutions. Experience with sophisticated proprietary financial applications and cross divisional development teams desired.

The Senior VP Loan Accounting and Technology will :

+ Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of technology support professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment aligned with Pennymac's core values of being Accountable, Reliable, and Ethical.

+ Serve as a technology subject matter expert within the Finance division, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to enhance efficiency, automate manual processes, and improve data accessibility for various finance teams.

+ Partner with Accounting Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, and departments within Finance as well as other Divisions to understand their data and reporting needs. Develop and implement automated reporting solutions and self-service data tools to empower these teams.

+ Work closely with the Application Development team to prioritize finance technology initiatives, ensure alignment with overall IT strategy, and advocate for the technology needs of the Finance division.

+ Take a holistic view of the technology systems supporting the finance function, identifying opportunities for consolidation, integration, and standardization to improve efficiency and reduce complexity.

+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, system configurations, and reporting solutions, facilitating knowledge sharing within the team and across the Finance division.

What You’ll Bring

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a data management role, with significant exposure to core accounting, treasury and reporting processes.

+ Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team.

+ Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes and related data (loan servicing, loan origination).

+ Proven ability to analyze complex data and processes.

+ Experience with automated data processing and reporting tools

+ Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

+ Experience working with application development teams and understanding of software development lifecycle principles.

+ Familiarity with best practices for data governance principles, implementing and maintaining Sarbanes Oxley controls

+ Experience with the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques to improve business processes, reporting, or data analysis.

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

+ Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

+ Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

+ Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

$138,500 - $231,000
