    The NYU School of Professional Studies seeks a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor for the graduate Marketing program offered by the Division of Programs in Business. The anticipated start date is Fall 2025; the rank of the position will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

     

    The successful candidate will contribute to shaping and growing both the Master of Science in Integrated Marketing and the Executive Master in Strategic Marketing and Communication. The faculty will teach and lead within the programs, develop courses, advise students, collaborate with other faculty and industry partners, and engage with the broader NYU SPS academic community. The standard teaching load is three 3-credit courses in each Spring and Fall semester or the equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with senior practical industry experience in brand management, brand strategy, agencies, advertising, or related fields. Experience working with a diverse base of professionals and teaching a diverse population of students is essential.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach graduate-level courses in Brand Strategy, Managing Products and Brands, Channel and Sales Management, Campaign Management, and related marketing subjects.

    • Advance thought leadership through applied industry research in brand management, product management, sales, or advertising.

    • Build industry relationships and partnerships to enhance the programs’ connections to the workplace, particularly in advertising and brand management agencies and organizations.

    • Support the growth and development of the degree programs.

    • Contribute collaboratively to advancing the Division’s, School’s, and NYU’s mission and strategy.

    • All faculty members are expected to be active contributors to meeting the applied professional goals of the division and be part of the continuing investments in research, pedagogy, and corporate collaboration.

     

    Reporting to the Associate Dean of the Division of Programs in Business, the clinical faculty will work closely with the Academic Director and Chair to implement the vision for enhancing and expanding the Marketing program’s profile and visibility. The clinical faculty will also work directly with industry professionals and academics. This full-time position is a nine-month appointment with a two-year renewable faculty contract.

     

    In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, this position's annual base salary range is $95,000 - $145,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

    The NYU SPS Division of Programs in Business provides applied, professional education for students interested in becoming leaders in the functional areas of a business: marketing, human resources, management and technology, and finance. Students from around the world are immersed in highly relevant curricular and co-curricular experiences that combine academic theory and the rich professional expertise of industry practitioners with global experience, rooted in New York City’s business community. This creates a dynamic teaching and learning environment in which students gain and apply practical skills to solve complex, real-world problems of business and society.     The ideal candidate will have earned a doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA), significant industry experience and a well-established professional network in brand management or advertising, at least three years of teaching experience, and the ability to develop and deliver impactful and engaging coursework and programming materials in the marketing domain.
