In this job, you will install, test, diagnose, maintain and repair electrical and Instrument equipment for our vast natural gas systems that is spread throughout the city of Colorado Springs. Use your journey level industrial electrical and electronics expertise to support the efforts in maintaining clean reliable and safe energy for a beautiful Colorado Springs.
*Starting pay rate for a $51.89/hr. Your pay rate will increase to $54.49/hr upon successfully completing probation (typically 6 months).

Key Areas of Focus:
+ Build and maintain natural gas remote pressure monitoring telemetry equipment
+ Calibrate these systems for preventative maintenance, PUC, and DOT mandatory compliance
+ Build and maintain natural gas odorizer equipment and PLC systems including combustible gas Indicators
+ Creating detailed data register map build requests for SCADA staff to bring new points or instrument reading into SCADA system. Verifying and monitoring the point data with PI Vison and creating displays for validation
+ Experience with Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming. (Example Fisher ROC 809), communication processor units, radios, antennas, providing technical knowledge to other support groups related to projects of system trouble analysis to bring live data readings into SCADA system
+ Wiring low voltage electrical circuits including running conduit and bending. Knowledge of NEC book a plus
+ Gas Measurement, Odorization Systems, Gas Chromatographs, Telemetering Systems, and equipment trouble shooting and repair; the ability to adapt and learning new instrumentation and systems hardware
+ Verifying accurate pressure readings of test gauges and documentation
+ Creating and or modifying control diagrams and schematics as required
+ Callouts by gas control to restore operation of failed equipment, especially odorizer equipment
_This position requires the successful candidate to work rotating holiday emergency standby and possible overtime, weekends, holidays, etc. as business needs dictate._
**Who You Are...** while most people in this occupation would have completed Electrical Apprentice program or have an associate’s degree in electronics or electrical engineering, the successful candidate will have experience with low voltage circuits, electrical and controls equipment, preferred 1 - 3 years’ experience in PLC programming and 3 - 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting, designing, repairing, and calibrating communication, instrumentation and control systems and related equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, you will be required to pass and maintain Operator Qualification credentialing within 6 months of hire.

In addition, we are interested in your experience with the following, _please highlight on your application and/or resume:_
+ General knoweldge of SCADA systems operation, relay wiring and operation and gas pressure dynamics
+ Knowledge of electrical circuits and transformers, to include performing inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial electrical systems
+ Instrumentation and control knowledge, processes and reading of schematics
+ Good computer knowledge in Windows OS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Installing and configuring software specific to instrumentation and devices
+ Experience with test equipment such as multimeters, O-scopes, spectrum analyzers and HART communicators
+ Programming experience with PLC or RTU devices
+ Experience with Modbus RTU protocol instruments and understanding protocol analyzer data
+ Low voltage wiring and electronics knowledge with AC and DC voltages and components, including microprocessors
+ Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) operation and testing
