The Opportunity
Family and Children’s Association (FCA) is seeking a Creative Arts Therapist to provide therapeutic services to individuals of all ages through individual, family, or group sessions. Services will be delivered both in-office and in community settings as part of FCA’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) treatment program.
Responsibilities
+ Provide individual, family, and group art therapy sessions, as well as other prescribed services, in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
+ Maintain productivity and caseload targets while delivering high-quality services.
+ Conduct initial intake assessments, collaborate with the clinical team on treatment recommendations, and develop personalized treatment plans.
+ Coordinate care with external service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
+ Complete and maintain client records, ensuring compliance with agency, OASAS (Office of Addiction Services and Supports), and OMH (Office of Mental Health) regulations.
+ Submit required reports, documentation, and correspondence by deadlines, while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy required.
+ New York State licensure as a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) or eligibility for a limited permit required.
+ Prior experience or internship in a therapeutic setting preferred.
+ Understanding of the lifespan and complex intergenerational trauma.
+ Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
