Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Provider
The Opportunity
Family and Children’s Association (FCA) is seeking a Psychiatric Rehabilitative Services (PRS) Provider to support individuals in behavioral health recovery as they pursue meaningful life roles. The PRS Provider helps clients build skills, enhance functioning, and achieve personal goals while promoting community integration and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
+ Facilitate skill-building in daily living, socialization, education, employment, and recreation—both in-person and off-site—to support community integration.
+ Provide crisis intervention services to de-escalate situations and ensure participant safety.
+ Participate in person- and family-centered treatment planning in alignment with New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) standards.
+ Monitor service delivery and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to resolve barriers and ensure progress on treatment goals.
+ Support individuals in achieving employment goals using Individual Placement and Support (IPS) principles and develop personalized strategies for success.
+ Educate participants and support systems on medication management, behavior change, and accessing community resources.
+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic systems, in compliance with agency and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ 1–3 years of experience in career counseling, preferably with individuals affected by substance use disorders or other disadvantaged populations.
+ Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
