Salary Range: $50,000 - $62,000 (DOE)
Position Summary: The Accounting Admin will work within the Accounting Department and will report to the Controller. They will support the entire accounting department with various administrative responsibilities while also working closely with accounts payable to process expense reports, credit reference applications, and fulfill W-9 requests. They will work with our corporate accountants responsible for treasury to assist with the deposit of funds into the Company’s bank accounts and recording of cash receipts in our accounting system. This role will also get the opportunity to interface with other managers in the department to complete miscellaneous projects. This position will be fully in-office.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Review corporate expense report for compliance with our corporate policies. Review for missing backup, appropriate approvals, and accurate cost coding. Correspond with employees and management regarding non-compliance and approval issues with expense reports.
+ Complete bank deposits through mobile application and physically at the bank for payments received by the Company.
+ Utilize the accounting system to record cash receipts against open A/R for deposited amounts.
+ Provide W-9 documentation upon requests from operations for new vendors.
+ Maintain the accounting department PTO calendar.
+ Organize and manage property titles for corporate assets.
+ Work with Corporate Controller/Accounting Manager to update bank documentation, including authorized signers.
+ Serve as the point of contact for new employees and other departments.
+ Assisting the accounting department with miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Experience with JDE Enterprise 1 or another Tier 1 ERP system preferred.
EXPERIENCE
+ One to two (1-2) years of equivalent work experience required.
POSITION RELATED SKILLS
+ Must be willing to learn, take direction, and take on any ad-hoc responsibilities as needed.
+ Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams), and have a general understanding of working within a computer network.
+ Ability to work well and maintain a collaborative attitude through high-pressure situations.
+ Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while balancing phone calls and questions on work in progress.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
+ Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
+ Must be willing to work in a large professional office setting.
+ Must be dependable and a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
+ Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is combination of standing, walking and sitting.
+ Must be able to climb stairs: 5% of day.
+ Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.
+ Sight: Visual acuity in near, mid, and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.
+ Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
+ Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone.
+ Bending/Twisting: Minimal.
+ Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal.
+ Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
+ Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.
+ Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results.
+ Must be able to plan and organize work.
+ Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers.
