We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar’s Global Finance Services Organization for a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. You will manage a team of 3 accounting and finance professionals and will provide financial leadership to all of Caterpillar's segments, Group Chief Financial Officers (GCFOs), Vice President Corporate FP&A Services, Senior Vice President of Corporate Services, and the Corporate CFO.
You and your team will support the corporate forecasting processes by leading the enterprise forecasts and analyzing the Corporation's Profit, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow as well as supporting the quarterly financial release. This position will also work closely with the Global Finance Services Organization strategy team to ensure simplification and standardization initiatives continue to ensure quality forecasting. This role is also responsible for ensuring financial reporting integrity, a strong control environment and the achievement of other financial and non-financial objectives.
What You Will Do:
+ Drive effective and strong coordination with business partners across the organization business units. segment coordinators, and internal corporate partners.
+ Responsibility for the consolidation of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and quarterly Rolling Business Management (RBM) forecasts. Your team will provide enterprise guidance, summarize the forecasts and present a summary to senior leadership
+ Responsibility to coordinate the financial Long-Term Forecast and support for Investor Day presentations.
+ Support the quarterly earnings release process by providing analysis and insights for preparation of the earnings call.
+ Support forecasting of enterprise Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) expenses
+ Support the Global Finance Services Organization by using new technology and providing guidance for the implementation for new processes
What You Have:
+ **Business Acumen** : Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
+ **Finance and Accounting:** Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
+ **Organizational Governance:** Knowledge of the processes, customs, policies, and rules affecting the way the organization is administered and controlled; ability to ensure compliance with governance guidelines and policies. Rigorous attention to detail, excellent communication skills and executive presence.
+ **Strategic Thinking:** Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
+ **Leadership:** Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
+ **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
+ **Financial Forecasting and Modeling:** Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results. Ability to take an Enterprise point of view and lead with our Values in Action.
Top Candidates Will Have:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related discipline
+ Progressively Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development
+ CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred

+ The primary location for this position is Irving, TX
+ This position requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:
$169,320.00 - $253,920.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
