Position Summary: The Senior Director will set the strategic goals and led the organizational direction of any system level external contractual relationships with Support Services which includes Food, Environmental Services, Patient Transport, Laundry, Valet, Parking and Customer Ride Services. The Senior Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Supplier Relations Office (SRO) and system-wide Purchased Services strategies. Key Accountabilities: * Responsible for developing and implementing the Supplier Relations Office (SRO) strategy to improve efficiency and reduce costs ensuring performance targets are met. Leads the SRO Executive Steering Committee * Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic goals and organizational direction throughout Hartford HealthCare’s Support Services * Oversees and manages any system level external contractual relationships within Support Services such as Food/EVS/ Patient Transport, Laundry, Valet, Parking & Customer Ride Services, Waste Streams, etc. * Drives the customer experience across the system within Support Services by developing key performance indicators that align with the system balanced scorecard and overseeing the implementation of action plans * Reviews and approves the budgets, staffing/productivity, financials, and cost improvement initiatives for Food/EVS/ Patient Transport, Laundry, etc. * Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, innovation, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials * Partners closely with Purchased Services to achieve cost savings and exceptional service by standardizing contracts related to Support Services across Hartford HealthCare * Serves as executive sponsor to new projects and business cases within Support Services that will standardize, improve operational performance and cost, and improve customer experience * Develops relationships with key stakeholders across the system and collaborates with multiple divisions and departments to achieve organizational goals * Bachelor's degree is required * Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in a high volume acute healthcare or hospitality services setting * Deep operational knowledge relating to production, purchasing, delivery and storage of materials/products, staffing, training and education, safety, sanitation, and contracting of support services * Knowledge of safety requirements in an acute care environment, such as the use of personal protective equipment, emergency response, life-safety codes, is preferred * Visible leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills who relates well with all levels of the organization * A creative, forward-thinking leader with the proven ability to engage, coach and mentor direct reports, colleagues and other key stakeholders * Highly effective analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills * Strong communications skills required - both written and verbal * Ability to implement change in a positive, humanistic, and forward-thinking manner We take great care of careers.
