Position Summary...
Join the Walmart Health & Wellness Compliance team to support the growth and development of Walmart Health! Reporting to the Director of Controlled Substance Compliance (CSC) Specialty Compliance and Ethics Health and Wellness, you will support the development and implementation of an effective compliance program for Walmart Controlled Substance Compliance.
You will create a culture of continuous improvement in our pharmacies through guidance, respect, service, and excellence, while maximizing learning opportunities, promoting compliance without defensiveness, and offering expert coaching to support short- and long-term success.
Specific functional responsibilities will include onsite store visits to present pharmacy staff with legal requirements and best practices when dispensing controlled substance; identifying and implementing effective auditing and monitoring strategies to assess effectiveness of controls; providing guidance for controlled substance record keeping; monitoring laws and regulations for specified area; responding to compliance questions and issues; and developing effective training and communications strategies for Walmart Controlled Substance Compliance associates and providers.
Support the development and implementation of the Walmart CSC compliance program structure and foundation, with specific emphasis on individual proactive pharmacy assessments, site visits with a focus on ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying, correcting, and reporting any non-compliance issues. Analyze necessary data; create reports on findings; communicate findings to senior leadership; and complete follow up with field and home office based on findings in reports.
This position requires 70% overnight travel nationwide, often with short notice. Must be familiar with laws and regulations regarding controlled substances. Must be a proficient public speaker able to effectively verbalize and communicate information and findings to groups of field associates and leadership.
What you'll do...
+ **Establishing a roadmap for future enhancement** – Assist in the identification of short- and long-term compliance program initiatives, demonstrating the ability to prioritize immediate needs and plan for ongoing enhancement and evolution of the program over time.
+ **Building effective relationships** – Establish relationships with key stakeholders and effectively integrate with the Walmart Health business so as to secure compliance as the most trusted support function.
+ **Supporting enterprise and team success –** Facilitate timely identification of compliance risks and implementation of effective mitigation strategies to enable successful implementation of business initiatives.
+ **Operating with excellence** – Identify KPIs and KRIs that measure and monitor potential risk areas and facilitate the implementation of effective tools to assess those indicators.
What you'll bring…
+ You’re a subject matter expert in pharmacy controlled substance compliance requirements, with interest in applying this expertise around controlled substance compliance and supporting compliance initiatives in our pharmacy service lines.
+ You have significant experience and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, including state board of pharmacy related requirements, and federal controlled substance regulation, etc.
+ You’re process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
+ You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.
+ You have experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment.
+ You’re organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
