Chaplains provide spiritual support to patients, families and caregivers, helping facilitate spiritual healing and enhance well-being. In this role, you will touch lives and make lifelong differences in the lives of everyone you encounter. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 3:00PM - 9:00AM, with one weekend day and some evening requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide education and consultation for physicians, nurses and other caregivers.
+ Offer spiritual care and counseling for patients, families and caregivers of all faith groups, ages and conditions.
+ Foster spiritual resources for healing.
+ Provide crisis and ongoing care.
+ Work regular and on-call hours.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Master's of Divinity or equivalent
+ Board-Certified Chaplain Certification or eligible within two years OR ACPE Supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education Certification
+ One year of Ministry experience
+ Completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Behavioral Health experience
+ Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education

Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
+ Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push and facilitate movement of the patient.
+ Must have normal or correctable vision and hearing to be able to hear normal conversations.
