Bennett Aerospace Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is looked for an experienced, self-sufficient hands-on engineer with a solid background in electronics testing or electromagnetic interference testing, effective operations and testing leadership, and operations and maintenance experience with complex electronic test equipment. Knowledge and skills in electrical, electronic, electromagnetic test methods, test automation, and demonstrated strength in leadership and management of test tasks and test teams.
The ideal candidate will be working on space research payloads and launch support equipment. Testing will be conducted in both laboratory and field environments. Discussion of test results and implementation of mitigations will occur with customers ranging from operations engineers to Chief Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Under the direction of a supervisor, the engineer will serve as a test engineer, test conductor, and task lead providing support and leadership for electromagnetic effects testing on ground support equipment, spacecraft payloads, and similar test articles at Kennedy Space Center's (KSC) Electromagnetics Laboratory (EML).
+ The engineer will be responsible for technical leadership, readiness, and integrity of measurement systems for testing, operational risk management, and customer communications.
+ Engineering responsibilities include development of safe test methods, authoring maintenance and testing procedures, accurate setup and execution of tests, objective performance assessment of test articles, and preparation of technical reports.
+ Testing methods are developed or derived from MIL-STD 461(C,D,E,F,G) or program specific methods.
+ Test automation using TILE!, EMC32, Nexio, Python or similar.
+ Supports design and leads implementation of test system upgrades and supporting system modifications to enhance test capability.
+ Interfaces with technicians install, configure, and operate test articles and automated electronic equipment used in electromagnetic effects testing.
Position Requirements:
+ High school diploma or General Equivalence Diploma (GED); 2 years of additional relevant education preferred plus 18 years of related experience; 20 years if no additional relevant education with progressive and relevant hands-on experience, with a strong emphasis on electronic test and measurements (RF comms, Radios) electromagnetic interference testing in a laboratory and/or test environment.
+ Experience as a test conductor and test engineer.
+ Experience authoring detailed operational procedures incorporating technical, quality, and safety elements.
+ Competent in a general programming language, Python preferred.
+ Effective task/project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience with MS Office products.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and team skills
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
+ Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas: Two or more years in electromagnetic interference testing.
+ Experience with developing test requirements and plans, and procurement specifications.
+ Experience performing tests appropriate to board, assembly, and equipment levels of electrical and electronic hardware.
+ Specific familiarity with MIL-STD 461 derived tests.
+ Familiarity with Pro/E - Creo, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD/CAE system.
+ General familiarity with KSC / space launch ground support equipment, processes, procedures, and documentation.
+ iNARTE EMI or ESD certification.
+ Experience working with Maximo.
+ This position requires working with experienced test technicians, working closely with peers, and supporting NASA and other customers.
Security Requirements:
+ Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
+ Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
+ Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.

This position is located at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
The salary range for this position is $85,000- $95,000
