Sr. Linux Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role requires a deep understanding of Linux environments, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
**Key Responsibilities** :
+ Design, deploy, and maintain Linux systems and servers in production and development environments.
+ Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
+ Develop and implement security measures to protect Linux systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
+ Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
+ Collaborate with network engineers and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems.
+ Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to maintain system integrity.
+ Optimize system performance through tuning and capacity planning.
+ Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
+ Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members.
**Qualifications** :
+ Proven experience as a Linux Engineer or similar role.
+ Expertise in Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.
+ Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
+ Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
+ Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, AHV, KVM)
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
**Preferred Skills** :
+ Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
+ Experience with disaster recovery and high-availability setups.
