Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

The Position

The Coordinator, Content Acquisitions role will support the acquisitions team as it licenses content for Versant’s cable networks: USA, SYFY, E! and Oxygen. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining key reports and deal status trackers, inputting data into company-wide systems, updating content analyses as deals progress and pulling information for key stakeholders.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

+ Manage the acquired inventory and prepare ad hoc reports and presentations

+ Enter and update pertinent details and metadata into all systems utilized across the teams

+ Update, maintain and provide various reports that are required by department management and in weekly meetings

+ Assist team members on special projects including researching & capturing relevant industry intel and the competitive landscape

+ Track upcoming theatricals and series to target for acquisition over the next several years

+ Organize and maintain team SharePoint folders with relevant deal documents

+ Track all content pitched to the team (i.e. screeners, scripts) and input content into team’s internal content feedback tool

+ Screen movies and series and provide feedback on potential fit for the portfolio

Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1+ years of experience in the field of Entertainment Media or related field

+ Exceptional proficiency in Excel

+ Strong PowerPoint Skills

+ Exceptional attention to detail required for contract management

+ Demonstrates a passion for television and movie content from all genres

+ Ability to work in fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and drive them to completion

+ Strong interpersonal skills and a team player

+ Pro-active thinker and self-starter

+ Experience working in the industry with a foundation on how streaming and TV business works is a plus

+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

+ This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
