Tucson Missile Integration and Test Facility (ITF) Production Control Lead (PC Lead) is responsible for managing the production control process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities. The PC Lead performs tasks without supervision reporting to both Value Stream Managers and functional Section Managers. The PC Lead provides leadership and technical expertise in finding solutions to a variety of technical problems encountered in production. The PC Lead provides oversight and mentorship to employees within a production factory. In addition to management responsibilities, the individual will also provide coordination with overseas partners and Tucson factories.
What You Will Do
+ Facilitating department safety compliance and initiatives.
+ Providing oversight, mentorship, and leadership for responsible employees.
+ Leading focused work groups to tactical and strategic solutions.
+ Prioritizing own, and team members, work in process and coordinate with appropriate functional areas to resolve any material shortages.
+ Ensuring the proper analysis of inventory balances, usage, scrap, and shrinkage, and coordinate appropriate action (reconciliation worksheets).
+ Leading root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings to management.
+ Analyzing numerous reports to ensure the maintenance of MRP data integrity.
+ Analyzing inventory levels, inventory positioning, planned production and sales forecasts.
+ Coordinating with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.
+ Facilitating All WIPS activities and tasks… i.e. mandatory cycle counts, mandatory stores audits
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
+ Experience with Production Control, Manufacturing, or Operations.
+ Supervisory or managerial experience.
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
+ In-depth Knowledge of PRISM and troubleshooting front-line shop floor issues.
+ 5 + years’ experience in Production Control
+ Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and CORE methodologies
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Strong leadership and team management abilities
+ Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
+ Solid understanding of production and inventory management principles

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
