**Description:** Service and repair the more complex refrigeration, ventilation, heating, air conditioning, and air moving equipment, related pneumatic and electronic controls associated with spray booth and painting facilities; and production related maintenance equipment\.

Work from complicated drawings, service manuals, and schematic diagrams to service and repair complex equipment with intricate interlocks, relays and interacting components\.

Troubleshoot and maintain electronic equipment and controls and repair as required\.

Diagnose and evaluate malfunctions of equipment operations utilizing design criteria to determine best method of making repairs to minimize interruptions and avoid shutdowns\.

Monitor functioning of centrifugal chilled water units and associated cooling towers\.

Overhaul systems components such as compressors, pumps, blowers, and condensers\.

Document and record service and repair of equipment and complete all records and forms mandated by Sikorsky or government regulations\.

Maintain constant check on all plant refrigeration and related equipment and make periodic leak test\.

Direct and instruct 2 or 3 helpers per requirements\.

When emergency or unusual conditions arise in maintenance Department operations or at request of supervisor, may be assigned other maintenance duties usually of a less skilled nature\.

Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety; contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator\-required upkeep; segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices

This is a second shift position from 3:30 p\.m\. until midnight, Monday\-Friday and is eligible for a 10% shift differential\.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires knowledge of principles of air conditioning, temperature control and refrigeration\.

Work from fairly complicated blueprints, layout sketches of air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and temperature control systems\.

Equivalent to 1\+ years trades education in air conditioning and refrigeration\.

Must maintain current certification\(s\) as required\.

Minimum of 3\+ years trades experience \(HVAC\)

This is a second shift position\.

Desired Skills:

State of Connecticut OE2 or S2 license

Universal CFC Certification

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
