Pay: $69.96 - $97.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the pharmacy to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
This position reports directly to the System Director of Clinical Pharmacy and is responsible for oversight and elevation of ambulatory clinical pharmacy services. The Pharmacy Manager of Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of ambulatory clinical pharmacy services and initiatives that optimize the patient care experience and drive organizational performance.
Responsibilities:
+ Support the implementation and evaluation of ambulatory clinical pharmacy services with direct and dotted line responsibility for UCHealth ambulatory clinical pharmacy service areas, including University of Colorado Hospital Authority HOPD clinics, UCHealth Medical Group clinics, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy faculty clinical practice, where applicable
+ Supervise front-line leaders and pharmacy staff
+ Lead and/or participate in P&T subcommittees, clinical quality-based committees with medication-related focus impacting ambulatory care
+ Pharmacy lead for UCHealth Employee Health Plan support
+ Serve as ambulatory clinical pharmacy representative on system level committees
+ Coordinate and standardize ambulatory pharmacy collaborative practice agreements
+ Lead process improvement and workflow optimization across clinical pharmacy areas with medication use and health care delivery systems to advance patient safety, maximize therapeutic outcomes, and mitigate cost, with particular focus on biologic stewardship, formulary management, and improving prescription capture
+ Ensure consistent coordination/communication across UCHealth ambulatory clinical pharmacy services
+ Drive health-system pharmacy initiatives, cost effective therapy, and promotion of start to finish pharmacy care delivery
+ Maintain accountability for utilization of UCHealth outpatient pharmacies, focusing on medications requiring specialty pharmacy services and improving the patient experience
Requirements:
+ Doctor of pharmacy degree with active Colorado pharmacist licensure
+ Advanced residency training (PGY1, PGY2) and/or ambulatory care experience
+ Minimum of 3 years of leadership and direct management experience in an ambulatory or managed care system
+ Ability to lead multiple teams and/or initiatives
