_What Business Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health_
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Business Analysis serves as a liaison between the organization's businesses and IT systems development teams to align business strategies and capability needs and to ensure IT systems enable their desired value. This job family identifies and analyzes business needs, defines requirements and objectives, and makes recommendations for solutions using new and existing technologies. This job family researches and documents relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices) and translates business requirements into application requirements.
The Business Analyst within the Enterprise Infrastructure and Database team plays a dual role, enabling business value through technology solutions and agile delivery, also functioning as a Scrum Master. This position is responsible for both business analysis and Scrum Master duties, ensuring the successful delivery of infrastructure and database initiatives.
_Responsibilities_
+ Lead business process and systems analysis to understand, document, and validate business requirements for enterprise infrastructure and database projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
+ Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
+ Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, while promoting agile best practices and continuous improvement
+ Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including backlog management, sprint execution, user acceptance testing (UAT), and project documentation
+ Proactively identify and remove impediments to team progress, fostering a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing team environment
+ Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring transparency and timely communication with stakeholders at all levels
+ Support system health assessments, resource management, and operational support for enterprise databases and infrastructure environments
+ Mentor team members on agile methodologies, infrastructure best practices, and business analysis techniques, championing a culture of transparency, accountability, and innovation
_Qualifications_
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Information Systems), preferred.
+ 4–8 years of relevant experience specifically in business analysis, product ownership, or similar roles, preferably within enterprise IT infrastructure and database environments, preferred.
+ Agile or Business Analysis certification (e.g., PSM I, CSM, SAFe PO/PM, CBAP, CCBA) preferred; a strong understanding of agile principles and frameworks is essential.
+ Proven experience driving project success by effectively bridging business and technical teams, translating needs into actionable requirements, and contributing to the delivery of complex solutions within agile frameworks.
+ Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, database management, and enterprise architecture.
+ Proficiency in various requirements elicitation techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys, observation, prototyping) to gather comprehensive business needs.
+ Expertise in creating detailed requirements documentation (e.g., user stories, use cases, functional specifications) and employing relevant modeling techniques (e.g., process flows, data diagrams, UI mockups).
+ Adept at translating complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional and non-functional requirements for technical teams.
+ Ability to perform gap analysis, impact assessment, and risk identification to ensure proposed solutions address all business considerations.
+ Experience managing the full requirements lifecycle, including traceability, prioritization, change management, and validation.
+ Adept at managing diverse stakeholder expectations, facilitating consensus, and resolving conflicts to ensure alignment on project scope and requirements.
+ Excellent communication (written and verbal), negotiation, presentation, and active listening skills.
+ Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
+ Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, quality assurance, and operations.
+ Experience with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for backlog management, documentation, and agile project tracking.
+ Understanding of ITSM principles and ITIL framework, particularly in relation to infrastructure and operations, is a plus.

**Anticipated salary range:** $79,700 - $119,490
