    What You'll Be Doing

     

    The Credit Analyst program is a key component to the development of our team of commercial bank relationship managers. Growing and developing top talent is one of our corporate values. It is the launching pad for a career in providing high-quality commercial banking services to middle market companies. The program is designed to provide you with the skills you will need throughout your professional career, including sales, learning how to build your professional brand, and negotiation training. At the same time, you will gain real-world experience working alongside seasoned commercial middle market bankers. You will gain in-depth product knowledge in the areas of financing, treasury management, private banking, foreign exchange and derivatives.

    + **Analytical -** Gather, review and assess all financial information and documentation.

    Who You Are

    + **You can demonstrate experience in u** nderwriting credit transactions for all lines of business. Analyze financial information and statements. Analyze and identify risks associated with various commercial loans. Preparation of credit requests

    + **You have a degree/diploma in** Finance, Accounting or Economics (Required)

    + Escalating matters through one of the appropriate channels identified in the CIBC Code of Conduct (i.e., HR, management, Ethics Hotline, Whistleblower, etc.) upon observing activities that may be inconsistent with CIBC’s policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes and controls

    + Speaking up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients, team members or other stakeholders

    + Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBC’s reputation as a leading financial institution

     

    At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $55,900 - $75,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
