**Position:** Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant or 1 year of hands on experience

**Client:** Young Adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

**Pay range $24-$25 per hour Paid Weekly** | Benefits available for eligible employees

About the Role:

We are seeking a patient, reliable, and empathetic Home Health Aide to provide personalized support to a bright and unique young adult living with Autism. This role involves promoting independence, supporting communication, and helping the client navigate daily routines in a calm, structured, and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Assist with daily living activities such as hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

+ Implement consistent routines and reinforce strategies to reduce anxiety and promote predictability.

+ Provide companionship and engage in meaningful, age-appropriate activities.

+ Support social skills development and model positive interactions.

+ Accompany client to community outings and appointments as needed.

+ Communicate effectively with family members and clinical support team.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Prior experience working with individuals with Autism or other developmental disabilities (preferred but not required).

+ Calm demeanor with the ability to remain composed in unpredictable or overstimulating situations.

+ Understanding of sensory sensitivities, non-verbal communication, and behavioral support strategies.

+ Ability to follow individualized support plans and use reinforcement techniques consistently.

+ Creative and flexible approach to problem-solving and engagement.

+ Strong observational skills and attention to safety.

Job Responsibilities for HHA – Home Health Aide:

+ Activities of daily living

+ Light housekeeping

+ Bathing

+ Grooming

+ Toileting

+ Nail care

+ Range of motion / exercises

+ Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices

+ Oral feeding

+ Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration

+ Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.

+ Assisting with ambulation

+ Medication assistance
