    **Objective of Position** :

     

    The Sr. Compensation and Analytics Lead is responsible for performing research, analysis, and making recommendations on implementing new and improving existing compensation programs to attract and retain talent and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines. This role identifies and reports on available metrics involving various compensation and other human resources data.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    + Plans, develops, and evaluates progressive, competitive, and proactive salary classification and compensation programs that align with business goals.

    + Manages and communicates compensation programs to ensure statutory compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

    + Performs audits, analysis, and comparisons to survey data, salary evaluations, and needs analysis to monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies.

    + Makes recommendations for plan revisions to maintain compliance and cost effectiveness based on competitive trends and corporate objectives.

    + Leads compensation projects including survey participation, annual market range updates, ensuring compensation initiatives align with business goals and are implemented effectively across the organization.

    + Manages the maintenance of the job architecture including detailed job descriptions, classifications, and salary structure based on business needs and market trends.

    + Oversees the administration of all incentive compensation reporting and analytics to ensure timely and accurate payment of incentives, adhering to design governance.

    + Plays a key role in process-related projects as well as program-related projects such as mergers and acquisitions and regulatory reporting. This includes assisting in project planning and implementation. As appropriate, this role may serve as the Lead over small to mid-size projects under the oversight of the Compensation Director.

    + Works as a strategic partner to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, business leaders and other internal partners.

    + Supports the year-end compensation review cycle, processes, and communications as necessary.

    + Conducts market pricing analyses and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.

    + Analyzes compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

    + Develops dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

    + Assists in the preparation of accruals for Finance to properly budget for short and long-term incentive expense.

    + All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field, preferred.

    + 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation or related HR field.

    + Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data.

    + Detailed knowledge in the disciplines of job classification, job evaluation techniques, and job description composition.

    + Detailed knowledge of salary survey design and analysis methodologies.

    + Working knowledge of applicable federal (e.g., EEOC, FLSA, ADA) and state laws, regulations and statutes pertaining to wage and salary.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in presenting and explaining complex issues and concepts to non-expert audiences.

    + Ability to develop working relationships with administrative staff in various departments.

    + Ability to work with minimal oversight, using discretion, experience and data to make strategic recommendations to the business while maintaining compliance with pay practices and regulatory requirements.

    + Works in a proactive and collaborative manner to drive efficiency - eliminating manual processes where possible.

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    + Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

This role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional visits to the office based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

     

    The salary range for this position is between $86,000 to $107,000.

     

    In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off and much more! Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
