Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

+ Assist in the admission discharge and transfer process of patients.

+ Set up tables instruments and supplies required for cesarean sections vaginal deliveries and circumcisions; maintaining sterile technique.

+ Respond to patient calls anticipate their needs and assure their safety and comfort through regular rounds environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.

+ Maintain appropriate stock and equipment inventories in the department and patient rooms.

+ Assist in the preparation and draping of the patient and operative area.

+ Prepare pass and maintain a correct count of instruments sutures sponges and supplies utilized during the operative procedure.

+ Maintain surgical instruments by ensuring proper washing packaging sterilization and storage.

Qualifications

+ BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association required upon hire.

+ CNA Certification or Surgical Technologist course completion required.

+ Experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred.

Pay Range

$20.62 - $28.35 /hour
