Job Description
The Default, Dispute, and Review group (“DDR”) enforces covenants, addresses disputes, and manages defaults on matters across the Global Corporate Trust businesses of Corporate Muni Escrow, Global Structured Finance, and Collateralized Loan Obligations. The Default team applies business judgement to high-risk situations like defaulted bonds, bankruptcies, disputes, and litigation. The Mortgage Disputes team addresses property and loan-level disputes on mortgages held in RMBS and CMBS trusts. The Trust Review team serves as part of the deal administration team, alongside client managers, account administrators, and operations, to enforce covenants and obligations contained with the governing documents for trust matters.
The Head of Global Corporate Trust DDR oversees and mentors these teams of professional leaders, address matters of potential exposure, and, as part of the Global Corporate Trust senior management team, guides governance and business practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ People Leadership: Manages and mentors team of professional leaders, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and resolution of complex situations. Leads with intention to drive high performance, develop careers, and engage and empower staff.
+ Results Management: Avoids financial exposure and write-offs. Collects appropriate fees and balances. Controls expenses. Establishes sound processes, engages proper experts, and applies appropriate resources to specific situations.
+ Default Management: Develops and implements strategies to avoid exposure, collect compensation for extraordinary services, and achieve successful outcomes in default and restructuring scenarios.
+ Relationship Management: Collaborates effectively within Global Corporate Trust and across other business lines. Maintains key relationships with law firms, investment banks, trust investors, media, and other stakeholders like issuers, borrowers, underwriters, and regulators.
+ Risk Management: Meets established performance metrics. Achieves strong self-assessments, internal audit, and regulatory examination results. Ensures adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
+ Approach Management: Across business lines of Global Corporate Trust, supports the evolution of governance and business practices and addresses matters of potential exposure. Leads teams to apply established corporate trust tenets.
Qualifications:
+ 15+ years of relevant experience
+ Thorough knowledge of corporate trust and investment instruments
+ Thorough knowledge of the applicable trust line of business, its products, processes, and related regulations
+ Ability to lead and transform
+ Effective management skills to include planning, budgeting, and people management
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and detailed focus
+ Ability to communicate effectively with clients to resolve client issues and disputes
+ Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
+ Experience managing distressed corporate trust transactions
+ A background in business, finance, or law is a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $238,765.00 - $280,900.00 - $308,990.00
