Description:
Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Licensed Physical Therapist.
As a Licensed Physical Therapist at MercyOne, you will plan, administer, implements, and evaluates physical therapy for all appropriate programs and services within the PM & R department, for all patient age groups. Possesses the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol. The age of the patients served range in age from infants to geriatrics.
Schedule:
+ Float position with weekend rotation and 1-2 holidays per year
General Requirements:
+ Must be able to function as a physical therapist in all commonly practiced aspects of patient evaluation and treatment appropriate for assigned age group.
+ Must be able to give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to geriatric.
+ Must be able to plan day-to-day activities and work independently.
+ Must be able to put patients at ease and make them comfortable.
+ Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests.
Education:
+ Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as a Physical Therapist.
+ Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
