Coordinator, Social Operations (Global Timberland)
What will you do?
The Coordinator, Social Operations will support the activation of the digital and social media strategy across Timberland’s organic and paid social media strategy across owned platforms—primarily TikTok and Instagram—while helping to evolve Timberland’s positioning as a weather-ready Outdoor Lifestyle brand. This role plays a critical part in supporting a “community-first, always-on” approach to social: one rooted in culture, real-time relevance, and storytelling that sparks connection.

A day in the life of the Coordinator, Social Operations for Timberland looks a little like this. You are a digital native who thrives in fast-paced environments. You support daily content publishing, partner with creative teams, and stay deeply plugged into what’s happening culturally. This includes collaborating with a marketing team to create social media content, publishing content based on a schedule, and monitoring results through analytics. You help shape a social presence that’s as inspiring as it is entertaining—where community, connection, and creativity come first.
**What you will do** :
+ Assist with day-by-day content planning across channels within Opal for Timberland and Timberland Pro
+ Execute content publishing, community interactions, copywriting, and real-time engagement, fostering an authentic connection with Timberland Pro’s audience
+ Curate content as needed for digital and social media purposes including owned content, creator content, and user-generated content
+ Assist with creative and creator content brief inputs and timelines
+ Track organic and boosted social performance metrics, providing insights to inform strategy and content optimization
+ Manage the programming and distribution of Timberland digital and social media content through our vendor platforms. Including:
+ Serve as a global expert and evangelist for our content and creator management systems (CreatorIQ and Creative Hub)
+ Coordinate and manage the digital and social media calendar for content stories (Opal)

You’ll play a key role in keeping Timberland relevant, responsive, and creatively vibrant on TikTok and Instagram.
+ Bridge Timberland and culture: Stay immersed in social trends and conversations, translating audience passions into authentic content that makes our brand feel present, personal, and culturally relevant.
+ Delight our audience: Help transform our social platforms into places of joy, energy, and expression—delivering content that entertains, inspires, and invites people in.
+ Inspire with storytelling: Work across teams to translate brand heritage and purpose into aspirational, lifestyle-led content that moves people to engage with Timberland in new ways.
+ Foster community: Engage with Timberland fans daily—responding to comments, resharing UGC, and helping build a space where our audience feels seen, valued, and connected.
+ Forge two-way connections: Listen to what our followers care about and show up with genuine responses, turning passive engagement into meaningful dialogue.
+ Push creative boundaries: Experiment with new content formats, features, and trends on TikTok and Instagram to help Timberland lead, not follow, in the evolving world of social.
+ Collaborate with purpose: Partner with internal and external creators, content teams, and regional stakeholders to bring stories to life that reflect our audience and move culture forward.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundational skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, such as a bachelor’s in marketing, we are most interested in your 2+ years of experience and professional achievements in digital marketing and social media.
The foundational skills you will need in this position are:
+ Deep passion for social media and emerging platforms—especially TikTok and Instagram
+ Strong understanding of platform trends and behaviors
+ Sharp creative instincts and good judgment when it comes to storytelling and imagery
+ Experience creating content for specific platforms (e.g., length, voice, captions, hashtags)
+ Comfort with learning new tools like Opal, CreatorIQ, and basic image/video editing software
+ Strong writing skills tailored to social platforms and community management
+ Collaborative mindset and strong organizational skills
+ Curiosity, adaptability, and wit

Hiring Range** **:
$48,000.00 USD - $60,000.00 USD annually
**Incentive Potential** : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
