EAG Laboratories has a great opportunity for an individual interested becoming a Maintenance Technician at our Sunnyvale lab. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates new to the field to gain hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing lab equipment, with a focus on high voltage systems, water and compressed gas fittings, and inventory management. No engineering degree required.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in:
+ Performing routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on lab equipment, including process water chillers, battery backup systems, vacuum pumps, ovens, coaters, and purge boxes.
+ Installing utility connections for equipment, including chilled water, deionized water, compressed air, pressurized gases, vacuum lines, and customized needs.
+ Maintaining and organize spare parts inventory.
+ Providing timely updates to management through status and service reports.
+ Supporting facility infrastructure to ensure a suitable working environment for instruments.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (Flexible working hours can be accommodated as needed)
This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: a U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Individuals in this role must comply with ISO 27001 standards and company requirements for information security.
Qualifications:
+ Basic knowledge of high voltage systems, water chillers, compressors, and gas/fluid delivery systems is desirable.
+ Proficiency in using trade tools, operating independently and as part of a team, following written and verbal instructions, and effectively communicating via email and phone.
+ Professional and cordial manner towards co-workers, vendors, and customers.

Base salary range: $35/per hour-$39/per hour (Salary is commensurate with experience and degree of technical expertise.)
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
+ Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
+ Ability to visually inspect items such as gauges, pipes, electrical, floors etc.
+ Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools.
+ Flexibility to work in cramped spaces and various positions, including bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
+ Ability to lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
+ Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
+ Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
