This position is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data analysis in Metro District Program Management and Planning. Responsibilities include maintaining various spatial and thematic databases, organizing and developing connections between databases including access, excel, and geospatial, providing analytic research to support management and functional group priorities, and developing a range of cartographic products and data reporting to be used for internal and external purposes. This position will also participate in statewide and District GIS coordination/deployment and asset management planning efforts.
This position is located at district headquarters in Roseville and has the flexibility to work in the office or a hybrid schedule that includes in office and teleworking time. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of professional (MAPE 05L or higher) GIS experience demonstrating:
+ Experience in data interpretation, conversion, and management.
+ Experience creating maps and map products in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
+ Experience creating geospatial databases
+ Experience working with Excel databases
+ Experience with a data analysis tool such as: Power BI or, Tableau or, other data analysis and visualization tools that are similar
Note: A Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Surveying, Engineering, Planning or Computer Science substitutes for one year of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience managing geospatial data systems
+ Experience organizing and creating processes and policies surrounding data management
+ Experience with programming and budgets
+ Experience with program research and analysis
+ Experience with Access databases
