This position exists to provide repair and maintenance services to the agency-owned and agency-leased property. Also, maintains two low-pressure boiler systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing skilled maintenance and repair work on heating and cooling systems so that heating and cooling is supplied to the facility. Repair and maintain agency-owned and agency-leased property. This position will assist in monitoring selected contracted services for the facilities and grounds and maintain an appropriate inventory related to the functions of the Plant Maintenance Engineer. This position will also make deliveries and pick-ups for the agency and perform other tasks or special projects as assigned by the Building Maintenance Foreman.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Must possess a valid Minnesota Boiler 2nd Class Engineer Grade C License or above.
+ Valid Class D Driver's License.
+ Knowledge of and skills in operating and maintaining low-pressure boilers, air-handling units, and associated equipment
+ Ability to understand and follow instructions sufficient to interpret and carry out assignments in a safe and sufficient manner
+ Skill in using hand and power tools and other trades equipment
+ Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety measures related to trades work sufficient to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain a work environment that respects and values differences and diversity.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Knowledge of computers and software used in building automation and controls and ability to operate, maintain, and repair a wide variety of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical controls equipment.
+ Experience using electronic work system software, such as Archibus.
+ Knowledge of safety and environmental laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and knowledge of building plans, specifications, and construction methods.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks.
+ Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job including lifting and moving at least 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, lifting, reaching above shoulder level, pushing and pulling as well as climbing ladders.
+ Ability to work from ladders and aerial lifts.
+ Ability to perform repetitive motions with various types of equipment and tools on a regular basis.
+ Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperature ranges as necessary.
