    **Additional Information:** This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Castlerock Hospitality Management. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

    OVERVIEW:

    As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and seeking new relationships to secure key bookings. In this position, you will be a pro-active manager with an emphasis on new business development. To stay ahead of the curve, you will research market trends, competition and customers. You will strive to achieve personal and team related revenue goals; ensure business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery; and drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    -Identify new group business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.

     

    -Understand the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.

     

    -Close the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.

     

    -Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

     

    -Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.

     

    -Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of employees.

     

    -Comply with quality assurance standards.

     

    -Follow company and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; wear nametag; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

     

    -Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).

     

    -Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

     

    -Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

     

    -Have access to reliable transportation and follow attendance policy

     

    -Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Food and Beverage leadership.

     

    -Assist in other areas as needed.

     

    -Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any reports of theft.

     

    -All other duties as assigned.
