Fairchild Air Force Base is home to a wide variety of units and missions, the most prominent is the air refueling mission. Fairchild has two wings, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing, and the 141st ARW. Other units include the Air Force Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape school, medical detachments, a weapons squadron and the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency.

Responsibilities
Duties
+ Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
+ Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
+ Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
+ Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
+ Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Behavioral Health Consultant):
**Degree:** Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
**Specialized Experience:** One year of specialized experience which includes conducting behavioral health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
AND
**Licensure:** This position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (NOTE: You must provide a copy of your license with your application package)
Education
**FOREIGN EDUCATION:** If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
