    DEKA is looking for a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join a product team developing a new medical device.     This is an on-site role, remote and hybrid are not available.

    How you will make an impact as a Junior Software Engineer:

    + Design, implement, and verify safety-critical embedded and UI software across the full development lifecycle, from concept through production and field support.

    + Involvement in network communications, graphical user interfaces, complex modeling, cryptographic operations and real world interfaces

    To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

    + Experience with multithreaded systems and asynchronous messaging

    + A solid understanding of, and 1 year experience with, Python, C and C+

    + + Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

    + Experience designing, implementing, and testing software/hardware systems

    + Experience using source control systems and working in a multi-developer environment

    + Ability to communicate complex design and technical issues verbally and in writing

    + Experience with user interface design and implementation a plus

    + Experience with network communication implementation a plus

    + Experience Android and iOS application development is a plus
