    Summary:

    The Manager, Enterprise Payment Posting manages the team that is responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of cash posting for all Catholic Health Ministries that are live on the Epic platform. These ministries include the acute care facilities, CHS and Trinity provider groups and Home Health. This position has a thorough understanding of how, and from where, payments are received, electronic 835 remittance file processing and the impact of posting entries on accounts receivables (AR) and their resulting logging to the general ledger. The manager also tracks down variances, errors, missing remittances and/or deposits. And, works with various insurance plans, payor portals, payment processing companies (i.e., Echo and Payspan) and CHS IT analysts to evaluate processes, identify and resolve errors, as well as engage with leadership regarding planning and enhancements. Finally, the manager works with the team to reconcile the daily deposits to the daily postings as well as ensuring all cash received has been accurately posted.

    Responsibilities:

    EDUCATION

    + Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Healthcare related field

    EXPERIENCE

    + Three (3) years of management experience is required, five (5) years preferred

    + Three years' experience in healthcare accounts receivables management or in financial accounting required

    + Experience in healthcare 835 remittance processing preferred

    + Experience with Epic, particularly Single Office Billing (SBO) preferred

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

    + Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

    + Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills

    + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy to identify and rectify discrepancies in cash posting and credit records

    + Familiarity with healthcare billing systems, electronic health records (EHR), revenue cycle management software, and Microsoft Office applications

    + Understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer policies related to cash posting, and revenue cycle management

    + Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle pressure, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

    + Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills with the ability to motivate, empower, and develop team members

    + Ability to manage a hybrid (on-site and remote) work force and leverage productivity metrics

    + Visual acuity for oversight of computer software, on-line references, Electronic Health Record

    + Demonstrated proficiency with computers, software, hardware and technological advances

    + Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency to generate reports and collect data

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Catholic Health employs a hybrid work schedule with weekly remote and in office attendance. Manager works in an office setting and minor travel is required to attend meetings and conferences across the Catholic Health. Occasional change in work schedule to accommodate project implementation or handle department concerns.
