    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Manager of Education - Medical Transport is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the EMS education program for the Medical Transport departments in a specified region. The scope of this work will primarily include developing and implementing EMS education and training plans, and oversight for EMS quality assurance plans. Additionally, the position will focus on standardized onboarding for both staff and leader level new hires, ad hoc education to support strategic initiatives, and continuing education for both staff and leaders. Partnering with the program Physician Medical Directors, as well as subject matter experts, this role will assist in determining the training focus for multiple hospital-based EMS agencies, based on clinical performance and quality assurance indicators. This role will be responsible for producing education deliverables (e-learning modules, webinars, ILT, instructional videos, blended learning, etc.) as well as providing in-person, remote, and hybrid trainings to both staff and leaders. The Manager of Education should possess strategic vision, excellent communication skills, proven motivational capabilities, executive presence, and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals on an aggressive timeline.

    DUTIES include but are not limited to:

    + Execute the Medical Transport education strategy

    + Prioritize education based upon the needs of the business and in accordance and alignment with company strategy, clinical needs, and quality indicators.

    + Work collaboratively with service line leaders to develop education standards.

    + Provide strategic education consultation and direction to field leaders and staff

    + Set specific performance goals to be accomplished with education and contribute to achieving those strategic goals.

    + Effectively negotiate and balance the educational needs of multiple stakeholders.

    + Solve advanced/complex operational problems with minimal oversight.

    + Work with the Medical Transport leadership team to identify learning and development needs and prioritize education development.

    + Develop a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

    + Communicate timely and effectively in a matrixed environment.

    + Work independently with general supervision.

    + Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement

    EDUCATION

    + Bachelors

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Registered nurse or licensed paramedic required

    + Dual certification as a registered nurse and licensed paramedic preferred

    + 4-6 years relevant professional work experience required as a nurse or paramedic

    + 2 years’ experience managing, designing, and developing EMS educational content required.

    + Excellent education facilitation skills, including virtual delivery, live instructor-led delivery, and e-Learning / recorded media required

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal required

    + Executive level interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a highly matrixed environment required

    + Experience with LMS (Learning Management System) administration, such as HealthStream, preferred

    + Knowledge of e-learning toolsets including Articulate Storyline and Captivate preferred

    + Knowledge of education development processes, instructional design, adult education theory, and the various modes of education delivery preferred

    + Florida based, travel required 50%
