    Summary

    The Trident SOC Manager manages, plans, and coordinates the activities of the supervisors engaged in the preparation, installation, and production of shipyard interiors by performing the following duties, in a manner that complies with all Trident Maritime Systems safety procedures.

    Responsibilities

    Other duties may be assigned as required.

     

    + Coordinates and assists supervisors assigned to installation of HVAC, Insulation and Joiner products.

    + Coordinates the development of manning requirements needed to maintain schedule and budget.

    + Follows established windows of opportunity for installation to ensure customer schedule dates are met.

    + Coordinates the maximum percent complete installation plan to support all Trident Maritime Systems installation efforts and customer’s needs.

    + Coordinates manpower requirements by reviewing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions, under the direction of the Site Production Manager.

    + Reads specifications, such as blueprints and data, to determine installation requirements.

    + Supports the company’s employee engagement activities to support the achievement of company goals and objectives.

    + Is accountable for installation performance, quality and increasing efficiencies through process improvement efforts.

    + Consults with other trades such as electrical and Pipe to coordinate installation activities. Enforces safety policies and regulations.

    + Maintains an appropriate labor-management relationship with coworkers.

    + Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety.

    Qualifications

    + 10 years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience

    + High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    + Ability to monitor and direct shipyard personnel.

    + Knowledge of shipbuilding construction and production standards.

    + Knowledge of OSHA requirements.

    + Ability to plan and layout work.

    + Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manual.

    + Ability to write routine reports, routine correspondence, and track information.

    + Ability to effectively speak and interact with employees and customer.

    + Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position requires occasional supervisory activities. No direct reports are assigned.
